Weekly Home Learning Plans: School Closure
Welcome back after a 'break with a difference.'
It feels as if we have come a long way. We are further into the tunnel compared with what is left to trudge. Like us, I hope you can see a little chink of light that is leading us into another type of normal. Hopefully, not too far to go now but we may have many 'puddles' we fall into on the way out. We'll just get up, brush up and carry on walking. If you pass me with my face in the mud please pull me up so I can wipe my face. I've 'gotta see where I'm going!' There could be Nailsea Scarecrows around! Did you manage to get out and about and see the trail?
Did anybody see BBC Breakfast last week? Whiteoak Academies shone out very brightly! We have some budding TV stars in our midst!!
Below are the activities for the coming week: June 1st 2020. (Wow! June already. Where did May go??!)
You will notice that the planning has a different format. Why has it changed?
It is LSP led so all schools in the Lighthouse Schools Partnership are working together to produce the home learning activities for our schools. The LSP has created a format where there is a broad curriculum coverage with something for everyone on it. This also gives consistency and coverage over the LSP. It ensures a variety of areas are covered well and it allows individual schools to adapt and modify tasks so that there is inclusion for all pupils. Nearly everything is accessed from one document: websites, videos and some worksheets. In time, who knows who you may see on the videos? Some familiar faces? We hope you find access to materials and resources easier too.
Give time to familiarise yourselves with the planning format and then: Enjoy the learning and activities with your children and allow them to do the independent tasks independently.
Whatever you decide to do, no matter how much, how little, it is something. Some little thing can make a big difference!
Have fun and enjoy learning together!
Be very aware and mindful of careful use of websites. Refer to our Safeguarding Policy and safe internet use guidelines.
And, as usual, any questions or thoughts message us on Class Dojo.
