WOWSA: The White Oak Way School Association

We are WOWSA, the PTA for the Whiteoak Academies - covering both Hannah More Infants and Grove Juniors. We are an active School Association and registered charity and all parents belong automatically, just by having children that attend our family of schools.

We are a volunteer group of parents, carers, Learning Partners and teachers, fundraising money to help provide pupils with amazing additional experiences and resources - things like iPads; books; playground equipment; a new library; school trips and an outdoor classroom to name just a few! We are sure you are aware that schools are massively under-funded and our role is to raise funds to help provide the 'extras' to enrich your child's education.

The committee organises fund-raising and social events for both adults and children. We believe a supportive partnership between home and school is an essential ingredient when children are entering their first school; they need to be aware of friendly co-operation between their parents and teachers.

WOWSA fund-raising events provide a high level of resources and substantial extra-curricular opportunities which benefit all pupils e.g. theatre visits in school, playground apparatus, additional curriculum resources and books. Without your support it simply would not be possible.
