Lockdown photographs from June and July 2020

Thank you so much Elm for posting these onto Dojo Messages. It enables others to see what activities you have been up to during COVID times. Your class mates appreciate this. Some then do not feel so isolated.

Welcome to our Elm class page.

Welcome to Elm.

Our teacher is Mr Bates.

Supporting us in our learning are Miss Brock & Mrs Smith.

Mrs Powell covers during PPA time which is every Tuesday afternoon.

Reading books can be changed on any day when we arrive in the morning.

Spellings are tested each Monday at the start of the day.

The Diamond Challenge (Times tables) is on Monday afternoons.

Games is on a Monday afternoon and Indoor PE on Friday Afternoon. Please make sure your child has appropriate clothing for both indoor (Shorts, House t-shirt or white t-shirt, daps) and outdoor PE (jogging bottoms, fleece and/or waterproof coat). Kits will be sent home at the end of each term for washing over the holidays please. Please ensure your child has P.E kit in every day of the week as additional events and opportunities to do exercise are always possible.

Swimming restarts on Wednesday 25th September. Swimming trunks or shorts for boys (not bermuda style) and a one-piece swimsuit for girls please, with a towel and a comb or brush for hair. Shampoo and any other toiletries are not permitted.

Earrings need to be removed for every sporting activity (including swimming) for Health & Safety reasons. If you wish your child to keep their earrings in, please obtain and complete a permission slip from the school office.

Reading records are collected every Monday morning so that the number of home reads can be counted.

If possible, please try to hear your child read 4-5 times each week.

It really helps with their reading and writing development.

If you have any queries, the door is always open so pop in and see me.
