Alternative Literacy Work
"This week our Alternative Literacy provision (here for use if your child is not getting on well with Oak Academy) focuses on writing an alternative ending to a traditional tale.
Day 1 - read the traditional tale aloud to a family member
Day 2 - read the same tale with an alternate ending and discuss what is different about the two, which you like best and why.
Day 3 - Use the features checklist and the Day 1 traditional tale - how many features you can find? Write evidence of each feature in the correct box.
Day 4 - watch the powerpoint about using powerful adverbs and complete the adverbs sheet. (choose the level from *, ** or ***)
Day 5 - write your own alternative ending using the features checklist and adverbial learning from the other lessons this week. (Choose a *, ** or *** writing frame or write from scratch!)"
