Flu Immunisations Autumn 2026

The school nursing team will be attending school on 14th October to administer the flu nasal vaccine. 

The flu vaccination is for all students from Reception to Year 11, please remember to complete the consent form whether you do or do not want the vaccination at https://imms.sirona-cic.org.uk/flu/2026/consent?v=3-

Yr R and Yr 6 National Child Measurement Programme 2026/27

Each year, the School Nursing Team come into school to complete height and weight checks on the Reception and Year 6 children as part of the National Child Measurement Programme. Please see further details in the letters below. The letters also give you the choice to opt out of having your child take part in the programme.

The School Nursing Team will attend school Thursday 12th November to complete the Yr 6 checks.

The School Nursing Team have not yet advised the date they will attend school to complete the Reception Screening.

 

Support for children and families

School Nurses work with children, young people, and their parents/carers to maximise their health and well-being. School Nurses can meet with children and young people in groups, for example in school, or individually in several venues such as at school, at home or another venue in your local community.  School Nurses provide information and support on several topics that children or young people come across that can affect their health.

If you would like support from the school nursing service, you are able to contact them directly or you can complete the referral form. A School Nurse will call you back to talk about the reason for your call and the support they can offer. If the school nursing service can offer you further support, they will explain how and when this will happen.  Further information can be found on their website here.
