Reception

A very warm welcome to the Reception pages of our website. Here we will share with you the exciting learning opportunities that our Reception curriculum provides. We will also detail key information and clear guidance about our routines and expectations to help you to support your child in getting the most from their time in Reception. We are very much looking forward to getting to know your child and to working in partnership with you.

Meet the team

Our Reception classes are named after British wildlife, Ladybirds and Honey Bees.

Mrs Carr and Miss Dowling are the class teachers in Honey Bees class. Miss Dowling teaches on a Monday and Tuesday, Mrs Carr teaches on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Mrs Sparrow will be providing PPA cover on Thursday afternoons.

Miss Pennell is the class teacher in Ladybirds class. Mrs Byford will be providing PPA cover on Thursday afternoons.

Mrs Sparrow, Mrs Morris and Mrs Parry will be working in both classes this year.

As a team, we are so looking forward to working with your children and are keen to share their journey with you. You will find regular updates in our class tabs. If you wish to speak to your child’s class teacher, please do not hesitate to make an appointment via the school office or by using the year group email address you will already been given.
