Anti-bullying & Anti-hate

Challenging Bullying and Hate… Our Values Based Approach

At the Whiteoak Academies of Hannah More Infants and Grove Juniors, our aim is to foster and promote a safe, secure and enjoyable learning environment for all children to achieve their full potential and be the best that they can be. As a result, we will never knowingly tolerate bullying or acts of hate, although we acknowledge that they can occur in all communities, including schools.

Everyone at the Whiteoak Academies is valued as an individual and has the right to feel safe at school. We also recognise that a child that is happy and secure is more likely to make progress personally, socially and academically. Therefore, bullying and acts of hate of any kind are unacceptable in our school and will be dealt with promptly and effectively.

We want our schools to provide a safe, caring and friendly environment where all are respected, valued and encourage to contribute. Where bullying is found to exist, we will do all in our power to help solve and eradicate the problem.

The Whiteoak Academies are TELLING schools: anyone who knows that bullying is happening should TELL a member of staff in school or someone they know and trust.

The Whiteoak Academies are LISTENING schools: anyone who is worried about bullying will be LISTENED to.
